The Flow Chart Map is a structured concept map most learners will already be familiar with. It is a picture that visualizes steps in a certain order. They are easy to (re-)create. They are somewhat simpler and more linear than a Cluster Map.

They can be used to outline a thought process, a strategy, a process, a workflow, a decision tree. It's a powerful method for drawing together in order to develop a shared understanding of something complicated.
